Event Policy

Disability Policy

Any individual who requires special accommodation for a disability to take advantage of or participate in this event should contact the UHCL Disability Services (281.283.2626) at least one week prior to the event to arrange for the accommodation. If you need to talk to someone with the convention via phone, please e-mail reg.conjour@gmail.com and someone will contact you within 24 hours.

Electronic Privacy

Your personal information WILL NOT be sent to third parties and PayPal is used during the billing process. However, we accept no responsibility if your personal information is compromised during the online registration process. If this is not acceptable to you, please use the print registration process.

Photography of Artwork

Due to copyright agreements we do not allow photography in the “Art Show.” Any form of photography in the area designated "Art Show" is prohibited. This area will be clearly marked, walled off, and a member of the event staff will be posted outside. Everyone, including event staff, is prohibited from bringing a camera into this area. No exceptions. This includes cell phones with cameras. A staff member will watch over your belongings while you are inside. Any individual who chooses to ignore this policy may be ejected from the event without any form of compensation, per the event coordinator's decision.

Photography in the "Artist Alley" area is prohibited without the consent of the artist who's work you wish to photograph. However, artists who put work up in the "Artist Alley" area are responsible for protecting their own artwork.

Drug, Alcohol and Weapon Policy

Your safety is our highest priority at the convention. Drugs, alcohol, and weapons are not welcome at the convention or on university grounds. If anyone is found in possession of such items event staff will immediately notify the police. At a bare minimum they will be ejected from the convention without any form of compensation and the police will sort out the rest. If you need clarification on what the exact defenition of a weapon is (large pocket knives, etc.) please contact the UHCL Police. Then contact the event coordinator at reg.conjour@gmail.com so that their are no misunderstandings at the convention.

Costume Policy

UHCL has a no-mask policy. While we wish to encourage as many people as possible to dress up for the event, we do have to abide by campus policy. Please make sure that your badge is visible at all times so that the campus police know you are with the convention.

Service Policy

ConJour reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. If anyone behaves in an inappropriate manner, as deemed by the convention staff or by the campus police, they will be ejected from the convention without any form of compensation.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be given after pre-registration has closed. This includes (but is not limited to) fees for registration, t-shirts, advertisements (or other promotion fees) and dealer space. If you request a refund before the close of pre-registration, it will be honored, but we will deduct any fees that cannot be recovered, e.g. PayPal transaction fees.

Photography and Video Policy

By attending ConJour, you agree to allow your likeness to be photographed or recorded in video format and used without alteration for publicity and advertisement purposes by the ConJour Convention Committee, the UHCL Gamer's Guild and UHCL.

Lost or Stolen Materials Policy

ConJour assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen materials. Lost badges, programs or other materials must be repurchased.
